The Wheelchairs

1.  The recipient must be a Kuwaiti citizen or treated as a Kuwaiti citizen according to a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait.
2.  He must have a disability certificate from the Public Authority for Disability Affairs stating the existence of a moderate or severe motor disability or an equivalent disability that requires his access to  use  a wheelchair.
3. That the disability requires a wheelchair, based on a report from the committee.
4. The beneficiary is entitled to receive a wheelchair once every three years for those under the age of sixteen and every two years for those over the age of sixteen.
5. the disability should not conflict with any other government agency that provides the same service.
6.  Electric wheelchairs are not dispensed for those who have a mental disability, and for children under the age of fifteen, unless the specialized technical committee decides otherwise.
7. Persons with disabilities or their legal representative shall comply with the approved procedures in the systems and regulations for the disbursement of prosthetic devices.
8. Persons with disabilities or whoever acts on their behalf shall comply with the procedures of measurement, trial, and delivery, including the technical approval of the wheelchair by the competent committee and the system of lowest prices for technically identical chairs.
9.  Only the medical measurements and specifications that are applied by the competent committee of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs shall be approved.

1. A copy of the applicant's Civil ID.
2. An official authorization on behalf of the disabled person or from the guardian in the event of submission by a representative.
3. A recent medical report to diagnose the condition stating the disability and health status of the disabled.

 Note: The beneficiary is entitled to receive a wheelchair once every three years for those under 16 years old and every two years for those over 16 years old.
